Hi Everyone,
Looks like fall is in the air with reseeding starting on the north and south courses. I was looking at the equipment the city uses the other day when I was out filling some divots. It was amazing how quickly they can skin down and reseed the fairways!
Speaking of divots, the “Divoteers” are out on many mornings and some afternoons filling in divots. It is a nice walk on the fairways when no one is golfing around you. The city employees are very thankful that we are out helping with the divots and quite a few people have expressed very nice sentiments. So, keep up the great work gals! There may be a big “divot party” at the beginning of the year as the course gets ready for the Farmers. I will send out an email blast after the city works out the details. The city is also discussing various other volunteer activities for us to become involved in. When I get the information, I will forward it to you.
Speaking of the Farmers, you can go online and sign up for some volunteer work on their website.
Regarding volunteering, I was required to write up a summary for Matty and John so they can forward that information to the city in order keep our SUP in place. We did a fantastic job with over 700 volunteer hours by our club so far in 2023! Let’s continue to be involved in volunteer opportunities!!
