Hi Everyone,

It has been interesting playing this September with the course being shaved down a ¼ inch at time.  Not to mention the grass being blown into your face while you are trying to swing!!  Good news though – super easy to find your ball. 😊On that note – my partner and I did not lose a ball in the Fall Scramble.

Pace of Play Graphic

And speaking of the Fall Scramble, thank you to all  that participated this year. It was a fun event again this year though the Pace of Play was slow. Please remember that you need to keep up with the group in front of you, not just stay ahead of the group behind you.

The city definitely noticed the slow play and we do not want that to become an issue on their radar.

Reminder of Pace of Play Expectations.

For those who did not know, or maybe forgot, our contract with the city dictates that must be observed for every round, including tournaments. Please take the time to look them over and keep them in mind for your next round.

Players with tee times up to 7:57AM must play in 4 hours or less.
Players with tee times from 8:06AM – 8:24 AM must play in 4:15 or less.
Players with tee times from 8:33 and later must complete the round in 4:30 or less.

Volunteer

Thank you to all the volunteers! Because we have been working with the city and volunteering for the various tournaments, divot parties and gardening, the city is NOT going to be raising the access fees for 2027. What that means to you is the renewal fee will be the same as we had in 2026!! Great job ladies! We could not have done it without you!!!!

Divot Program

We are starting the ramp up for the 2026 Farmers so if anyone has some time to fill divots please let me know so I can put you on the spreadsheet.  Just about any date is open to fill divots with morning and afternoon shifts.

Rules of Golf

Know the Rules

The rules of golf are complex and none of us want to spend too much time studying. Right? But playing by the rules ensures competition is fair for everyone in the field.

We all share the responsibility of knowing the rules and protecting the field, not just our own score. If someone in your group is unsure of a rule, please help when you can or encourage the group to look it up. If you see a player who may be proceeding incorrectly, a friendly reminder can often prevent a problem before it happens.

Rules conversations should always be handled kindly and in the spirit of helping one another. If you have any questions about a ruling or golf situation please contact Eunhwa our Rules Director at rules@tpwgc.com

Also, I am hearing that there are a few gals that are using their range finders with the slope feature activated. Please remember that you cannot be using the slope feature on your range finders during our sweeps and tournament events. If you do, you will be disqualified for the event.

Gardening

No fancy frock or hat necessary!
The garden beds will be waiting for you.
Put on your dungarees, sunhat and gardening gloves, and help plant the new flowers in the flowerbeds around the clubhouse.
AND get a preferred teetime! (NOT teatime!)

August 5th anytime between 7:00am and 1:00pm

You DO NOT have to commit to the full 6 hours. We would prefer a minimum of a 3 hour shift but are open to shorter shifts if needed.

If you can help, please email Michelle at events@tpwgc.com and let her know what hours you can volunteer.

Get ready for the Ace of Ace and Holiday tournaments in December.  Darn!  The year just zoomed by again.  Please be safe over the holidays.

Thanks All!
