Hi Everyone,

Additional tee times and cool weather made for some fun golf! 😊 It is wonderful seeing all the members out on the course. We had a great time with a couple of the partner events – 6-6-6 and the Eclectic. It was awesome that my partner carried me across the course! A big THANK YOU to Karen for setting the events up! Coming up we will be having our Club Championship on August 4th and 11th.

Divot Program

We are starting the ramp up for the 2026 Farmers so if anyone has some time to fill divots please let me know so I can put you on the spreadsheet.  Just about any date is open to fill divots with morning and afternoon shifts.

Preferred Tee Times

A reminder of volunteer opportunities that will

  1. Divot duty
  2. Tournament support for the city-supported tournaments. This WILL NOT include theSentry or Jr Worlds since they are run by a separate organization.
  3. Gardeners

As before, if you would like to use your earned preferred tee time please email me since I will be keeping track of all the volunteering.  You must give me your request at least one day before the tee sheets open to the members.

Preferred tee times expiration.

I will only keep your preferred tee time active for one calendar year after it is earned.

For example, all divot duty work for 2024 will no longer be active in 2026.so you cannot use that time for a preferred tee time.  Your time for 2025 will be active for all of 2026. Once 2027 comes your time for 2025 will be removed and so on.

Gardening

No fancy frock or hat necessary!
The garden beds will be waiting for you.
Put on your dungarees, sunhat and gardening gloves, and help plant the new flowers in the flowerbeds around the clubhouse.
AND get a preferred teetime! (NOT teatime!)

August 5th anytime between 7:00am and 1:00pm

You DO NOT have to commit to the full 6 hours. We would prefer a minimum of a 3 hour shift but are open to shorter shifts if needed.

If you can help, please email Michelle at events@tpwgc.com and let her know what hours you can volunteer.

Volunteer

It is fantastic to meet gals while filling divots, volunteering for adaptive golf and various other events over the course of the year.  Once again, thank you all and the city is very appreciative of our efforts – let’s do it again in 2026. 😊

The Men’s and Women’s club had 1500 hours of volunteer work to show to the city council, to help them understand why men’s and women’s golf clubs are important to the city.  We had the same percent of women and men volunteering for the events.

Thanks All!
