TPWGC October 7, 2025 Board Meeting

The meeting was called to order by President, Sandy Wichelecki at 12:56 PM
The minutes of the 7/22/2025 Board meeting were approved.
Reports
President’s Report:
President Wichelecki welcomed Youwen Ouyang to the Board and stated that she is already performing well in her new position as Sweeps Results Director.
President Wichelecki gave a status update on the 2026 SUP. Currently the document is in final legal review. She stated that next year there will be no increase in member access fees, largely due to all of the volunteer efforts the club has contributed. Also, additional tee time slots have been granted.
President Wichelecki also stated that the pace of play report generated through Golf Genius is working well.
Treasurer:
Treasurer, Gina Menicucci, presented an updated financial spreadsheet.
The bank balance is $33,740.72; anticipated liabilities are $14,819.24. The increase in revenue is due to the club adding more new members this year than were budgeted for. The sweeps and tournament expenses are on budget to date. Gina is hopeful that the end of year sweeps payouts can be handled electronically rather than via handwritten checks.
For 2026, it is expected that the current dues calculation will cover needed expenditures if the membership numbers remain stable. Since the majority of memberships will renew at year’s end, actual numbers won’t be known until early next year. A motion was passed to increase the new member fee from $225 to $240.
Events:
President Wichelecki reported that the October newsletter is due to go out next week.
VP/Tournament:
Director, Karen Bridges stated that the upcoming fall tournament is completely full.
Membership:
No Report.
Sweeps Tee Times:
Director, Linda Holmgren reported no major issues with late cancellations or no-shows. The new schedule will begin with additional play dates in January, before the Farmer’s tournament.

Handicap:
Director, Michi Nakamura stated that recently she has had to modify the handicap of a few players who have posted exceptional scores.
Rules:
Director Lenehan stated that she dealt with a few rules issues during the recent club championship. One issue pertains to player conduct, prompting a code of conduct draft. She was advised to rework the document to make it enforceable. President Wichelecki will add the appropriate verbiage.
Web:
Laura Borja, Web Director, continues to monitor website security. She advised those board members with club emails that a reset of all will be needed to add an authentication layer. Wednesday, October 15th is the scheduled date.
SCCWGA Rep:
MC Eastman advised of the County events for the remainder of the calendar year. The County website has more details.
Unfinished Business:
None
New Business:
- A TPWGC member has suggested that our club champions are eligible to play in the SCGA Tournament of Champions and should be given the needed information to do so. Director, Karen Bridges will provide this information when announcing our next year’s tournament results
- President Wichelecki led a discussion about the potential use of the app Golf Shot with Golf Genius. The consensus of the group is that, at this time, it is not reasonable to pursue.
- Next Board meeting is scheduled for 1/13/2026
