The 2024 Sweeps payouts will start on February 18, 2025.
As explained in the emails from our club president to the membership, the process for sweeps payouts has changed. This article is a recap of those emails and the the information previously posted on the 2025 Sweeps page on the Golf Genius portal.
What has changed?
The SUP for both the Men’s and Women’s clubs at Torrey Pines have been amended to allow for prize money to be paid directly to the members rather than held by the Torrey Pines pro shop.
For this reason, payouts for sweeps winnings will transition to one annual payment via Zelle for winnings earned the previous calendar year.
The Pro Shop will NOT be able to provide you any information on your winnings.
When will the change take place?
The change is effective January 1, 2025.
Expect payouts for the 2025 winnings to start on February 2026 via Zelle.
The email we have on record will be used for Zelle payments. You must contact the club treasurer (treasurer@tpwgc.com) if the email we have on file is not the one tied to your Zelle account.
How will winnings be tracked?
Future sweeps day winnings will be tracked on Golf Genius via the Player League Standings page which can be found HERE.
You will need to be logged into Golf Genius to view the page.
Please note that the Player League Standing balances will NOT INCLUDE tournaments or county event winnings. You can contact the club treasurer if you need confirmation of your total balance.
What about the 2024 winnings?
There will be a distribution via check of all 2024 sweeps balances starting on February 18, 2025
A board member will be located by the first tee or with the TPWGC marshal on Feb 18th, Feb 25th and March 4th to distribute checks to the membership. After March 4th, members will have to contact the President or Treasurer for a pickup date.
Non-renewing members will have their winnings paid out via check in the mail or Zelle
Very Important Deadlines
The final deadline to pick up checks for 2024 sweeps balances is April 1, 2025.
All checks, regardless of the pick-up date, will only be valid until 5/1/2025.
Uncashed checks as of that date will be voided and the monies forfeited back to TPWGC.
