Reports
Treasurer:
Treasurer, Gina Menicucci provided a spreadsheet of a proposed budget for 2025. This document assumed a membership of 287. There are a few increased fees for next year that were calculated in the 2025 budget projection. She will make some minor adjustments to the numbers, based upon a larger membership projection and will distribute a final budget proposal document. The 2025 renewal membership fee will be $185 and $225 for new members.
Events:
There are two events coming up this Fall that the course will need volunteers to assist. More information is forthcoming. Michelle Natalier, Coordinator, will look into the annual Under Tow event to check on its status. She also asked for input regarding notable members to spotlight in the newsletter. She plans to draft a piece for the December edition that will honor the “Volunteer of the Year”.
VP/Tournament:
Director Karen Bridges reported that an email regarding the Fall scramble event will go out this week. There was also some discussion about 2025 budget and payouts for next year’s tournaments
Membership:
President Wichelecki reported a current membership of 305. She will communicate the 2025 renewal and new member fees to the Membership Director, who will advise SCGA for the Nov 1 renewals.
Sweeps:
Linda Holmgren, Sweeps Director, reported that some members are having a very difficult time getting tee times. Also, the watering window on 10/8 will impact the last few groups. Linda will try to finesse this with gaining some earlier tee times.
There was some discussion about making a change to the member +3 sign up dates in order to alleviate tee time difficulties. A motion was MSP to change to Member +1 for 2025. President Wichelecki will mention this in her next communication to the membership.
Sweeps Results:
No report
Handicap:
Director, Michi Nakamura reported that she continues to monitor unusually good scores for sweeps days.
Rules:
Yuna Lenehan reported that there are new split rail fences installed on several holes. These fences are between the fairway and the lateral hazard areas. She proposed a local rule to address appropriate relief options. She will draft some language to be communicated to the membership.
Web:
Laura Borja, Web Director,
stated that emails sent from Golf Genius to the membership need to be sent from the “master roster” vs the “league roster”, in order to be tracked properly.
SCCWGA Rep:
MC Eastman, Representative,
Eastman advised of the County events for the rest of the year. The County website has more details.
New Business:
President Wichelecki determined to table discussion/decision regarding a change to “member only” sign up on Ace days.
When the schedule for 2025 play days is available, she will identify a first quarter Board Meeting date.
President Wichelecki closed the meeting at 1:48 pm
Respectfully submitted,
Susan Boeshart
